For the majority of poor and working people, the enemy of good health is not the lack of access to medical care per se, but the overwhelming odds against which they must battle to maintain housing, safe living and working conditions, nutrition and protection from the elements – let alone timely preventive screenings to ward off disease before it takes hold.

We serve as a vehicle for people of principle to eliminate any and all political and economic barriers to good health, including campaigns to defeat laws and governmental policies detrimental to the interests of the low-income community.

Members include physicians of all specialties, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, opticians, workers in allied health fields, students and others seeking to join the fight for comprehensive health care for all working people.
